When was the last time

you hit a dead end?

For me, it was only a couple of months ago.

For ten years I wanted to make a film that is meaningful to an audience.

Three years ago, I had an idea for a feature film that has stuck with me since. This idea has to be told.

I showed it to my mentor and we worked on it, shaped it until it looked good.

Then I started to animate it. Scene by scene. Shot by shot. We discussed it and I reworked it until I thought I had a version that worked.

I showed it to him and he gave me a list of problems. It was a long list. And I had to agree with my dear mentor. The film sucked.

Welcome to development hell.

What would you have done? Would you have continued? Would you have quit? With all the time invested and a vision that shapes your life?

I wanted to quit.

However ...

... I started all over again. Same idea, same quest.

Will I make a movie that actually moves you, the audience, or will I fail?
